Vecchitto's Italian Ice Old Lyme The Vecchitto family has been serving frozen desserts from here since 1946 The store opens weekends only starting Memorial Day weekend until the end of June.

The Vecchitto family has been serving and manufacturing Italian Ices and frozen desserts from this stand on 80 Hartford Avenue at Sound View Beach in Old Lyme since 1946. The business then operates 7 days a week and the hours of operation are from noon to 9:30 pm until Labor Day. This store closes for the season on Labor Day. There are a few 30 minute free parking spaces in front of the store available for our customers during the day. Street parking is free after 6 pm.

We will open for the 2025 Season on Saturday, May 24th at Noon! This will be our 79th season at Sound View Beach! Our hours for Memorial Day Weekend: Saturday, Noon - 9 pm, Sunday, Noon - 9 pm and Monday, Noon - 6 pm. We will also now be open on weekends: Saturdays, Noon - 9 pm, Sundays, Noon - 6 pm.
