One of my favorite parts about running Papa’s is meeting good people who are just as passionate about what they make as we are about what we bring to the stand.

We’re excited to welcome Tyson’s Cottage as one of our newest local vendors! ❤️

They’re bringing some seriously good homemade baked goods to Papa’s, including:

🥖 Classic sourdough
🍕 Sourdough focaccia pizza
🍞 Focaccia bread
🍥 Sourdough cinnamon rolls
🍪 Salted brown butter chocolate chip cookies

And yes… we sampled everything. Strictly for quality control, obviously. 😂

What started as a simple conversation turned into a really cool new friendship and another chance for us to support a local family doing something they love.

That’s exactly what Papa’s is about.

Local people supporting local people. Good food. Good families. Good community.

We’re really excited to see where this goes, and I have a feeling you guys are going to love them just as much as we do.

Summer is still hanging on… but fall is officially starting to sneak into the stand. 😄

BACK IN STOCK:

We’re right in that sweet spot of the season where you can grab a watermelon with one hand and a pumpkin with the other. 😂🍉🎃

Been at this since Old Yeller. 😂🌽

Before Papa’s Produce was Papa’s Produce… there was a kid, a garden, a little tractor, and apparently enough vegetables to feed half of Olmsted Township.

Some things change. Some things don’t.

Still growing. Still hauling. Still chasing down good produce. Still keeping it local.

Turns out this wasn’t a phase. 😂

Three generations later, we’re still at it. ❤️🌽🍅

Papa’s Produce…it’s not just what we do. It’s what we’ve always done.

God bless Papa’s Produce, and God bless every single person who continues to support us. ❤️

I’ve spent all 37 years of my life with my hands somewhere in this dirt.

Digging. Planting. Picking. Loading. Unloading. Sweating. Getting rained on. Getting sunburned. Getting back up the next morning and doing it all over again.

I grew up watching the generations before me pour their blood, sweat and tears into this little stand, and somewhere along the way it became my turn to carry it.

And I take that responsibility more seriously than most people probably realize.

Every early morning. Every long drive chasing down the best produce. Every late night. Every time I rearrange the damn tomatoes because they’re not quite good enough. 😂 Every bit of it comes from the same place:

I don’t want to disappoint you.

I don’t want to disappoint the people who have trusted this family for generations.

I don’t want to disappoint the people who pull into our driveway every summer because Papa’s has become part of their family’s tradition too.

And I sure as hell don’t want to disappoint the people who built this before me.

Thirty-seven years rooted here has taught me that Papa’s Produce was never really about selling vegetables.

It’s about family. It’s about community. It’s about remembering where you came from and working your ass off to leave something worth carrying forward.

So when you stop by, tell your friends about us, share one of our posts, bring your kids, or come back because that corn was just too damn good… I notice.

I appreciate each and every one of you more than I could ever put into a Facebook post.

As long as you’ll keep showing up, I’ll keep digging, planting, searching, sweating and doing everything I can to make Papa proud.

37 years rooted here. Generations behind me. And hopefully generations still to come. ❤️🌽

This is what Papa’s Produce has always been about. 💙

Some of our “seconds” become chicken treats instead of compost. In return, we’re spoiled with fresh eggs and an even better friendship.

No one asked for anything. We just look out for each other.

I dropped some off without saying a word the other day, and this was the post waiting for me afterward. Moments like this remind me that Papa’s Produce has never just been about selling vegetables. It’s about building the kind of community my grandpa would be proud of.

Thanks for the sweet surprise, CharlieBear. It made our day.

Some of you know our story… but for those who don’t—

Our daughter Zoey is battling a rare disease called Krabbe disease. It’s the same disease that inspired the creation of the Hunter’s Hope Foundation.

Last year, we were invited to something truly special, a Hunter’s Hope family symposium at Holiday Valley in New York. For one week, we were surrounded by families who get it. No explanations needed. No judgment. Just support, understanding, and love.

It’s hard to put into words what that meant to us.

This year, we’ve been given that opportunity again.

Each family attending is asked to help fundraise, not just to cover our stay, but to support research and help other families like ours who are walking this same road.

If you’ve ever supported us, prayed for Zoey, stopped by the stand, or even just taken a second to read our story…this is one of those moments where you can truly make a difference.

Anything helps. Truly.
