Meet Ashley. First, a loyal soup customer. Then a Sous Soup Chef. A friend. Her daughter Millie’s clothes are more than half of Phoebe’s wardrobe (same is true for me wearing Ashley’s previous maternity clothes!). Ashley organized our meal train when we returned from the hospital 👶🏻.
And yesterday she shared Coop’s Soups with her newly moved-in neighbors. Imagine being her neighbors. Would you not feel seen, worthy and 💯 delighted to have moved into your new neighborhood? Would you not bubble to your friends and family about the neighbors who welcomed you with soup and flowers? Say you needed immediate assistance, would you not feel safe knocking on Ashley’s family’s door and asking for help? And perhaps Ashley’s family would feel safe knocking on their door…
Friends, it is so worth putting a name and face to extensions of kindness. The stories we tell ourselves for why we can’t, shouldn’t, couldn’t possibly do this need to be reflected upon and wiped away.
Coop’s Soups is soup to share as an awesome way to make friend’s and fight off loneliness. Ashley’s family and the folks who just moved in are no longer just bodies existing next to one another but are connected, humanized, and neighbors in the truest sense of the word ✨🥣❤️.
