Diamond S Quarter Horses

Diamond S Quarter Horses We are located on the northern edge of the Kansas Flinthills. Our pastures are full of flint rock and can be pretty steep, but it is great cow country.

We strive to raise and train horses that are good footed, athletic, level headed, with natural cow sense. In 2014 we began raising our own foals and are looking forward to starting and riding the product of our own breeding program!

A big congratulations to Greg Tracy and Misty Iris Hancock for qualifying for the 2027 VRH World Show in both ranch riding and ranch trail at the Hawkeye Ranch Horse Classic in Mason City, Iowa. In 2025 that was the largest VRH show in the country!!

Iris is by Letit Happen Hancock out of our late, great Leo Hancock Hayes daughter, Wyo Bridget. This is a pretty proud breeder moment for me 😁

Our good friend Allen Robinson picked this c**t for a stallion prospect back in 2023 which was a big honor as I always felt he had a great eye for horse flesh! Unfortunately we lost Allen way too soon, but his family took the same chance on Pepper and has had him in training as well as covering a few mares! Lacey Anne Robinson has been kind enough to send me pictures along the way and even though these were just coggins pictures before heading back to training, I wanted to share! The Letit Happen Hancock x Tuf Babystar Hancock cross really worked and left us some fantastic daughters as well as this beefcake!!! I'm really excited to see Peppers future foal crops!

Last but not least is Reggie, our red roan c**t by Here Comes the Boon out of Tiptoe Fever. This guy is bred to go cowhorse but fancy enough to show in the ranch classes. We'd love to see this guy make the show pen but Reggie could sure make a jam up ranch horse too! I kept his 2025 full sister and she has size, style, and a helluva trainable mind. Lots of potential here. PM for info!!!

I told Gooseberry Heather that if she gave me a filly, she could be retired! She puts every last ounce of herself into her foals and gets pretty thin. She delivered. She's raising a huge red roan filly by A Whole Lotta Rojo with about as much bone as you'd want. She's a stout, smooth moving gal that'll have the conformation and withers I really love for a good ranch horse! NFS!!!
