Reba’s second lamb has arrived.
We sadly lost her twin sister, which was incredibly hard, but we’re grateful for this little light.

Meet Alba, our spitti-colored girl. 🤍🐑

Desert King Fig Harvest 🌿🍇
Today was a sweet success — we harvested 3 overflowing baskets of Desert King figs, tipping the scales at over 30 pounds!

We’ve been busy in the kitchen:
• Dehydrating to preserve their rich flavor for months to come
• Canning a variety of fig preserves, including a fragrant spiced version
• And tomorrow, the real fun begins — starting a batch of fig wine and experimenting with our first fig cider 🍷🍺

The pollinators love the Lucifer (Crocosmia), they are my 2nd favorite flower in the garden only surpassed by my new rose bushes. Also included Rouge and Rouge 2.0 for 🐓 tax.

📢 For Sale: Registered 87.5% F3 Valais Blacknose Ram – Proven Breeder

Introducing Loch and Spruce Stupendous — affectionately known as Stewie. This charming 18-month-old ram is ready for a new flock and more ewes to impress.

🖤 Breed: Valais Blacknose
📈 Generation: F3 – 87.5%
📄 Registered: With the Valais Blacknose Sheep Society via Grassroots
🐑 Proven: Sired a healthy lamb this spring
🎂 Age: 18 months
🧬 Reason for Sale: We’re growing our flock and need to diversify our genetics
🐐 Raised With: Two wethered goats – well-socialized and gentle
🔧 Housing Needs: Requires strong, secure fencing – has tested a few gates
🧶 Wool Quality: Stewie’s fleece reflects the luxurious wool Valais Blacknose are known for and we've had him sheared 2x a year (Oct. & April) — He grows long, curly, and sought after by fiber artists. Ideal for breeders interested in fiber production.

Stewie is a sweet-natured ram who loves having his ears scratched and has been handled regularly however, he does not do well on a halter. He would make a wonderful addition to a farm looking to enhance their breeding program with 87.5% genetics and a lovable personality.

This handsome fella makes me smile everyday. He’s like a puppy, always wanting his ear scratches and always tries to block my access to the gate so I keep petting him.

How quickly they grow, in a blink she will be all grown up and moving away to start her own family 🤣

Happy New Year! This morning we welcomed our first lamb. A little ewe to continue to grow our flock. She's a whopping 13 pounds 4 oz., she's absolutely perfect! Mama is, well she is a new mama. She's doing good, but she needs a bit more time learning how to take care of her lamb.

Help us with ideas for her name.
