This weekend we were lucky enough to attend Slow Food Greater Olympia Annual Meeting potluck to celebrate and receive one of this year’s Snail of Approval awards alongside other wonderful farmers and organizations.

The food on our tables should be produced in a way that is beneficial to the land, the animals, and the people in our communities. Agricultural workers should be treated and compensated fairly for the work they do to provide for their local community members.

That is what we believe here on our farm. We may not be the most efficient and profitable farm out there, but that's ok. Our mission serves a greater purpose and we are proud of what this snail represents.

Yesterday was one of those days that really tested us. 😅 With our walk-in cooler down and a stretch of 90+ degree weather coming up, it definitely wasn’t a great feeling knowing how much was at stake.

Luckily, we were able to work late into the night and get it back up and running! There’s something pretty awesome about seeing all that hard work pay off when you finally hear that cooler kick back on and start doing its job again. 🙌

Feeling pretty darn good today knowing our work paid off and the cooler is back to work! 💪🥚❄️

You may not know this, but Tender Velvet Rebel Oven uses our pasture-raised, organic eggs in their goodies! They also use organic flour and no artificial ingredients (including no artificial dyes!!), yet their prices are comparable to other establishments that use non-local and lower-quality ingredients! Delivery day here on the farm! 🚚

It's always fun when you order the shipment on a box truck because your property isn't set up to handle rigs, confirm it three times with dispatch, and they send a full-size rig. Good thing this isn't our first rodeo and we were expecting it.

Thankful the driver was able to back it in and we get to live another day of small farm drama
