Spotted Frog Farm

Spotted Frog Farm Sustainable, organic farm producing high-quality, pasture-raised eggs. We are a family-owned, organic farm that produces pasture-raised chicken and eggs.

We follow Certified Humane requirements but are not yet certified. Our chickens are raised on pasture and are allowed to free-range the entire day. The farm is built on the principles of sustainability, regenerative agriculture, and conservation. We give back to the land more than we take out. The farm is named after Oregon spotted frog, a state endangered species that calls the wetland on our far

m home. We work to restore and enhance the wildlife habitat on our farm as well as the pastures. In the future, we hope to expand our offerings.

We were lucky enough to sneak away for a few days during spring break. Even with the constant demands of the farm and life, it's very important to periodically take a step back to put things back into perspective and enjoy the natural beauty around us. Shout out to Lizzy and kaidence for making it possible!

Little farmer helping out with the barn renovations. Well at least the fun parts ๐Ÿ˜†

After what seemed like a project that opened up Pandora's box, things are starting to move along nicely. New plumbing and electrical next!

Heavy rains and high winds are always fun, but have you tried adding in a broken feed line to really give the night an extra zing?? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿคฏ. Next level stuff right there!

It may be late, and I may have felt drier standing in the shower than I did fixing this feed line by headlamp, but the important thing is our girls will wake up to a full breakfast in the morning.

Being the owner/operator of any business, especially a farm, is never a walk in the park. Temporarily losing the ability to functionally move about the operation makes that "walk" much more difficult. When picking products off the shelf, most folks don't think about that fact that most of their local farmers don't get sick days. With animals depending on you to be there for them each and every day, there are no days off.

Some extra strain on the family unit is imminent these next few weeks. Luckily I have a partner that always has my back and is able to catch extra sleep just about anywhere ๐Ÿ˜ด ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Unloaded the latest delivery at the farm without any issues.....until we got stuck, and other obligations pulled everyone is opposite directions to fly solo, and it was quickly getting dark. A "creative" thought of using multiple recovery straps to pull the truck and trailer out with the tractor saved the day ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

All fun aside, it feels good to have a year's worth of flats tucked away in the barn!
