Went to for the Badge Bash to celebrate being elite again! It’s year 9 for me and 5 for Randy! Servers were extremely kind and attentive, Mexican mules were on point, and the wings had great flavor. We aren’t gamblers but we’d be back to try more food and drinks.

’s Fire to Table experience was launched this year and was so great that dinners begged out for it to happen just one more time before the “Nebraska Nice” cold weather hits the city.

The night starts out in the catalyst lounge where you can order cocktails on or off the menu. Pick your poison. We chatted with the bartender who was Omaha born but tended in NYC. Randy got the Naked and Famous, a drink that has a few liquors mezcal and aperol being two and I got their spicy French 75, a twist on the classic drink with pineapple and a tajin rim. I ordered two.

As dinner loomed closer to its 6:00 pm start time a waitress passed oysters. You may be thinking oysters in Nebraska? My initial thoughts as well but their oysters had a perfect balance of tomato and lemon, and were chilled just right - they went down easy. We both had two.

At 5:59 pm sharp our banquet host who beamed with pride in what they provided the entire night let us know it was time to eat.

We got seated and the food began immediately. We started with their bread and toast with a sweet maple butter. Then arrived an offering of two salads one with peaches and arugula the other was a Cesar salad with bread crumbs and a fish that resembled achovy.

Everything was served family style with the passing of plates and conversation. Next we were served all of our sides corn, potatoes, cabbage, and pumpkin squash all kissed by the wood fire grill.

As we sampled the sides, the meats made their appearance. Chicken, stuffed pork, salmon, and tomahawk steak! We couldn’t believe how much food there was and every single item was delicious. Things I thought I didn’t like I realized just hadn’t been cooked right.

Then there were still two desserts to be served. Ice cream served with a caramel sauce and charred pineapple. The last, a simple s’more and they invited you to cook it at the grill or you could take it to go.

This food experience was definitely a 10/10. The price at $125 per person was well worth it and there were talks of it happening again in the spring time. I think it’s safe to say we’ll be first in line. Would you try this?

Husband and I decided to stop in a whim at last night. First impression is that the place is spacious with a chill vibe. We liked that the music wasn’t playing super loud and you could talk to each other easily. I like the wallpapers 70’s Vibe. Their drink menu is really expansive I think anyone could find something they like. The bartender was the nonchalant type but you could tell he was experienced. I asked what their sweetest drink was and he asked did I want him to make him something. I took him up on his offer and was glad I did. The drink had a subtle sweetness and freshness to it. One of the best drinks I’ve had in a bar. My husband ordered the bragging rights drink and loved his selection as well. I think we will definitely be back!

If you haven’t had Tixteco Mexican restaurant you’ve got to put it on the top of your list of next places to try. The food here is incredible and the owners are just the sweetest! We talked to them for almost an hour!

A very humble and homey spot and we didn’t know why it wasn’t packed. It’s like if you went to your grandma’s house on a Sunday and had dinner. Everything we ate was so delicious.

Leah had the mole and an al pastor taco. Randy had the carne asada, and our friend who dined with us tried a taco, Gordita, and a quesadilla. We all got aguas. Randy and Leah had the tamarindo and our friend had the Jamaica. The aguas tasted natural and not too sweet.

This is now Leah’s favorite Mexican restaurant. We can’t wait to go back and try their posole! Go try Tixteco!

Date night was at the new Thai restaurant ! Many are probably familiar with the location being the former hunan palace in papillon.

This spot opened only last week and the food was excellent. I wouldn’t say we are Thai snobs but as a couple we set the bar pretty high on taste and flavor. Something we’ve never seen before in pad thai was the char put on the bean sprouts and noodles. This seemed to enhance the flavor tenfold.

Service was slower on some elements but their team was kind and attentive and doing so great for just opening.

Definitely worth the drive we will be back to try more Thai favorites from their menu. For now, we’ll enjoy our leftovers during lunch.

Team foodya got the opportunity to go to the soft opening of on Saturday. Entering the restaurant, we felt transported to what could have been Greece or Morocco. We loved the simplistic, clean, and modern decor.

For your starter drink, you must try the casa Clio. A sweet and balanced cocktail with pomegranate seeds. Our apps around the table included the dates stuffed with sausage, beef dumplings, and rice fritters.

The restaurant was buzzing with anticipation as guests waited for the next plates to leave the kitchen. For the main course, both members of team foodya had the half chicken. The rest of our friends had the lamb tajine, chicken kabob, and salmon kabob.

We can’t wait to go back and try more!

Team foodya tried out .maple tonight. Everett’s is a really chill laid back place. Lots of families were there. The atmosphere was comfortable and casual with photos of great musicians strung upon its walls. We decided to come early because we’d heard it gets super busy. Glad we did go at 5 because by 6 the waitlist was starting.

Randy got the Buffalo and I got the bubba and saucy Rossy sauce. We asked for the wings to be fried and grilled. Wings came out hot, delicious, tender, juicy and a nice size. The sauces were banging. The char on the wings was perfect. They probably have some of if not the best wings in town. The fries were decent and I enjoyed the aoli served with them.

We would say our only hang up was that the server checked in on other customers during their dining experience all around us but we were ignored after we received our food and were brought the bill and weren’t asked if we wanted anything else.

We’d go back for the wings tho and folks should try them out for sure. They do carry out as well and are living up to the hype they’ve been receiving lately!

was an incredible experience. From the drinks to the entrees to the dessert we were impressed. The servers were extremely kind, attentive, and made all of their guests feel welcome. The presentation of the dishes was perfect and the decor was classy, romantic, modern, and sleek. Everything really tasted to delicious and unique.

We will be back! Get yourself down to memoir if you haven’t yet!
