Summer adds additional stress to households, as parents have more meals to provide and fewer resources to meet those needs. Summer EBT helps bridge that gap. Families in Nebraska can receive $120 in benefits per eligible school-age child to use for groceries while school is out. Learn more about the program at dhhs.ne.gov/SummerEBT.

Hunger doesn’t take a day off—and neither does our amazing community! Join the Food Bank, and our friends at Sweet 98.5 on Friday, June 5, from 3–5 p.m. at the Baker’s Lakeside location (173rd & Center) for our Stuff the Truck event.

While you shop, pick up some non-perishable food items and donate them on your way out. Every can, box, and bag helps provide meals for Heartland families this summer.

Together, we can Strike Out Hunger and make a real difference for our neighbors in need.

It’s a for the books! 📚

Members of our team recently had the opportunity to spend time with the amazing 2nd- and 3rd-graders from Concordia Elementary! The students learned more about hunger and its impact on children, helped sort the non-perishable items they donated, and toured our new facility.

We enjoyed their excitement, curiosity, and generosity in action! Check out some photos from their visit and the sweet messages they created for our staff. We hope to see these kiddos volunteering at the Food Bank soon! 🧡
