Some offices have “summer Fridays”, where employees are encouraged to take off early on Fridays during the summer. We’re flipping that around and asking, “What if you went into work late during the summer months?” Sure, you might have some dirt under the fingernails (we do have gloves), but imagine the sense of accomplishment! All the benefits of hitting the gym before work, but we guarantee we’ll have better music.

Join the BMUF crew most Fridays during the summer months for a laid-back, casual morning of farm work, coffee, and community building! We’ll meet at the Big Muddy office (3322 Burt St) and plant, harvest, w**d, wash, and pack produce at our urban farm site across the street. Coffee at 9, farm work till 11! We’ll keep you posted if we’re cancelling due to weather or other reasons.

Liability waiver required to participate; we’ll have them waiting for you!

We're huge fans of the Gifford Park Community Garden and can't wait to see so many familiar faces at community and youth garden events this season!

We switched things up a bit and will be covering Insect and W**d Management. So come with all your questions about creepy, crawling things and those pesky w**ds that take over your lettuce every year!

Big Muddy Urban Farm welcomes Aaron French as the organization's new Executive Director. French brings nearly 15 years of leadership in urban agriculture production, operations, and programming to the organization. French is thrilled to help deliver on Big Muddy’s mission to make sustainable agriculture education accessible to all.
