A quarter gives you a variety of steaks, roasts, ground beef, and other cuts to stock your freezer. The exact amounts depend on the animal, your cutting preferences, and which butcher shop processes your beef, since some offer standard cut options.

And that photo? That's an actual quarter beef! Packaging may vary by butcher shop, but it gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect.
