Here’s Hwajong Kim playing my 17” archtop fully unplugged this past weekend at the Woodstock International Fingerstyle Competition in Woodstock, NY. 김화종 is currently studying Berklee College of Music and has already won Winfield Walnut Valley Festival. His playing is unreal, so go check him out! Recorded with my phone, so excuse the room noise.

I’ve had a bunch of people ask about these stands over the past few months, so I’m considering making them to order. These are handmade of walnut and maple, and finished in oil. The base is removable to make them easier to transport. Send me a message if you’re interested.

What a great way to cap off another fantastic Fretboard Summit! Huge thanks to all those that stopped by to play my guitars. Great meeting new friends and catching up with old ones. Many thanks to Jason Verlinde and everyone at the Old Town School of Folk Music for making The Fretboard Summit such a blast. Can’t wait for next year!

One more quick change before road tripping to Chicago for the Fretboard Summit. I had originally made a fixed bridge for my archtop, and acoustically it sounded great! However, to give the player more control, especially when plugged in, I made this more traditional adjustable bridge. Still sounds great, but much more adaptable to changes in climate.

It’s been a long time coming, and you never realize just how much stuff you have until you have to move it. It’s nearly time to reopen my shop! I will start booking appointments in the next week or so. Just need to get some power in the shop and straighten it up. If you’ve contacted me lately, I’ll be in touch soon!
