Memorial weekend is one of my favorite weekends of the year. It starts a season of remembrance and gratitude- Memorial Day, Flag Day, 4th of July. We are blessed by those who have fought for our freedoms and we are grateful to live here.

Ryan and I were able to work on a few small projects and the farm might not look like much has changed, but we have some sprucing up happening and I was finally able to get some plants going. I'm frustrated that I seeded so late, but at least we will have some veggies soon! Unfortunately, I was busy working and did not take enough photos. I'll work on getting some updates soon. This is our poppy field from a few years ago.

No bakery this week. Taking a break to get caught up on farm planting. Farmstand open 5/16. Prepare to order ALL the goodies. Pre-orders will open 5/11!

We were able to make some hive splits on Sunday. It took all day, a few mistakes, and a few stings, but we did it!

All hives will soon move a few yards over to the hive yard location. It is a bit more flat and we have laid down some w**d block so we don't have to mow so close to the hives. Here's to hoping they make it over the next few weeks and soon more honey!
