The Batch Maker will work independently and with other plant personnel to ensure proper operation of the production line. Running mix’s with a productive format to prevent delays in production of finished products. Preventing errors in mix’s and outdated ingredients. Responsible for maintaining records, wash tags, charts on the update of CIP on all equipment being used in daily production. Ensure that damaged or inferior products are not being used in the production of the mixes. Ensure that recipes are being followed with correct amounts and ingredients. Using quality ingredients, listing of lot codes and expiration dates. After filling the continuous freezer with product, start the freezer. Startup the fruit feeder, taking care that the added fruit or etc. is covered up and protected from contamination. Never leave uncovered buckets or unmarked buckets anywhere in the production. Position Overview:
The Line Packer is responsible for the packing and visual inspection of finished goods during packaging.

Responsibilities:
Feed unwrapped bars into flow wrapper machines and wrapped bars into cartons. Conduct visual inspection of the finished product before packaging . Advise line supervisor of ongoing quality, i.e. size, color shape, and weight discrepancies. Dispose of non-standard products into appropriate waste bins. Remove light weights and irregular products. Check for appropriate code date on wrappers, labels, and cartons. Assist with the packaging on other lines as required, packing of Variety Packs, training of new packers and temps, Abide by Plant Rules and Regulations as described in the Employee Handbook. Complete tasks and projects as required by the company. Must work overtime as needed. Notify Group Leader of any suspicious person or incidents occurring that relate to plant security. Support changeovers as required between products. Fill out all paperwork as required. Perform quality check as outlined in the key checkpoint matrix. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Our story begins more than 20 years ago, with two brothers, “Los Paleteros”, and a pushcart full of paletas. These brothers were from Mexico and sold their first handmade paletas from a cart in California. Their secret recipe included only the finest ingredients: fresh cream, fresh fruit, cane sugar, and dried fruits and nuts.

With deliciously authentic flavors like coconut cream, mangonada, lime, and strawberry, people throughout the area sought out these tasty, refreshing paletas! Each brother went their separate way to share paletas and the paleteria experience across the country successfully. After many years, the brands(Helados Mexico & La Michoacana) each brother built rejoined under the Tropicale Foods banner.

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Technician A will interact with the leadership group, production team members, quality assurance, and other maintenance technicians to improve and maximize plant output, efficiency, quality, and safety. Duties include proactively troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production and plant support equipment. Duties are performed in a high volume, manufacturing environment where individuals are involved with overhauling equipment and the installation of new equipment.

Responsibilities:

· Perform online repairs and maintenance as necessary to maintain production at target efficiencies.

· Troubleshoot and repair production and plant equipment.

· Work with Production Technicians on continuous improvement initiatives to solve problems on all equipment.

· Troubleshoot PLC and operator interface panels and programs Variable Frequency Drives.

· Assembles experimental circuitry of complete prototype models according to engineering instruction, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components and their functions.

· Perform and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks.

· Provide line support for changeovers by understanding total process layouts and be able to maximize efficiency through optimal interface.

· Implement projects for line improvements.

· Safeguards and maintains company equipment and property, including Personal Protection Equipment (PPE);

Requirements:

· Preventive maintenance, repair and adjustment of filling conveying, packaging, palletizing, and auxiliary equipment

· Previous maintenance experience in a food or beverage production environment

· Technical knowledge of Production related equipment with maintenance experience with Production equipment

· Technical skills must include electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic

· Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals (mechanical and electrical)

· Excellent attendance and safety record

The Batcher ensures that all batching activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
• Requisitions the required ingredients
• Batch ingredients in accordance to approved standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
• Records necessary batch information including but not limited to, ingredient lot numbers, temperatures, resident time and machine settings.
• Operates all scales, mixers, liquefiers, pasteurizers and related equipment. Responsible for weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to established standards and procedures. Performs routine tests to ensure resulting mixture meets specified properties and consistencies.
• Performs periodic sampling of products during production to ensure consistent compliance to standards including product quality, fill levels, labeling, dating, and container integrity.
• Monitors production lines to ensure efficiency; perform real time visual inspections of product and process.
• Helps set up and perform all necessary tests and inspections such as pre-op sanitation, ATP Swab test
• Sets up equipment for the pasteurizers.
• Performs setups and breakdowns of batching equipment/machines
• Must be able to operate the CIP System.
• CIPs equipment and maintains a clean work area on a daily basis.
• Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely; periodically deep clean and sanitize mixing and filling equipment, production lines and work area during and after shift
• Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place.
• Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management.
• Communicates product and process modifications to the manufacturing process to ensure conformance.
• Communicate immediately to operators, supervisors, or management of all circumstances that may affect quality or result to unsafe work conditions.
• Responsible for reporting any food safety concerns or tampering with product
• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

Requirements:
• Basic math and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
• Mechanical/Technical Aptitude to troubleshoot minor equipment failures and make minor adjustments

• MUST be familiar with the Pasteurizing Study Guide

Education and/or Experience
• High School Graduate (GED); College Experience strongly preferred and Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a food and/or beverage (preferably Dairy) manufacturing environment.
