Can’t wait to try 🍷

We’ve got some exciting news! Introducing 2021 Barrel Blanc. Our newest white wine blend is now available on our website and will be on the tasting room menu starting tomorrow, May 27th.

This unique blend is a mix of 40% Cabernet Franc from White Pine Vineyard, 40% Pinot Noir from Sawmill Creek Vineyards, and 20% Chardonnay from Macri Vineyard. These grapes were whole cluster pressed and aged in new French Oak barrels for 9 months, hand-stirred weekly to bring out those full, ye**ty flavors.

On the nose, you’ll catch lilac and almond, followed by honey and pear flavors on the palate, and a lemongrass and quince finish.

It’s perfect for pairing with a wide range of dishes, from fatty fish and shellfish to pizza and creamy cheeses, not to mention roasted veggies, potatoes, rice, and alfredo pastas.

Song Hill Winery, nestled in the beautiful Finger Lakes, has a history as rich as its wines. Once a thoroughbred farm, Conor Gallagher transformed it into a family-owned winery in 2013, preserving the property’s legacy while fulfilling his passion for winemaking.

The vineyards were first planted by Conor and his grandfather. Today, Conor and his family continue the tradition, meticulously crafting sparkling wines in the méthode champenoise. Every grape is handpicked, gently pressed, and fermented on-site, making their wine as fresh and delicious as it gets. The family even produces a wine variety from a grape local to the Finger Lakes region, reflecting their deep-rooted connection to the land.

Conor hopes to expand production and continue to share Song Hill’s wines with the community, partnering with local eateries like The Classic Kitchen & Cocktails in Rochester.
