Today is Day 30 of our 30 Days of Gratitude project. We have created this collection as a record of the many things that we are grateful for on Amy’s Farm. There are so many small blessings and “favorites” on this enchanting farm. After 35 years, and since we are no longer allowed to lease this land, we would like to take the final days of our lease and care of this land to offer thanks to the service of all of the things we love. Join us on this journey as we highlight some of our favorite things about the farm.

30. Rosemary bush: Rosemary is known as the herb of fond remembrance. We are forever grateful for our rosemary bush. This herb is one of our original established plants on the farm. We have harvested from this plant for years and years. What a treat it has been to know that any time that we needed this memorable flavor for a special dish, all we had to do is walk out to the garden and harvest a few sprigs. And as our 30 Days of Gratitude Project concludes, we hope that you will always fondly remember Amy’s Farm. Think of us when you encounter rosemary. And, in the words of William Shakespeare, “There’s rosemary, that’s for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember.”

29. Friendships: Amy’s Farm has been a setting for many friendships to blossom and grow. Our mission at Amy’s Farm has been to Cultivate, Educate, and Preserve. The cultivate aspect does not just apply to cultivating the land, but we also had the vision of cultivating friendships and we have seen wonderful friendships develop over the years. Small children, just taking their first steps have walked the paths of Amy’s Farm, and now these same small children are adults and are bringing their own small children. What a wonderful thing to see. We are forever grateful for the many friendships cultivated on Amy’s Farm.

28. Prayer time on the farm: We care deeply for the spiritual health of our farm family. In the middle of the day Farmer Randy would invite our farm family to pause and sit together and rest from our work. We would sing songs, each child having a chance to select a song. We would practice gratitude and share what we were thankful for. And we would share prayers and concerns and talk to God. It was a wonderful opportunity to create balance and intention in our daily routine.

We are incredibly grateful for all of our farm friends for making Amy’s Farm such a beautiful place, full of joy, love and friendship.

Heirloom tomato season is slowly coming to an end. Come today, Saturday, to our produce stand to grab yours. Our produce stand is open today for shopping from 9am-1pm. We hope to see you soon! 7698 Eucalyptus Ave. Ontario

Today is Day 26 of our 30 Days of Gratitude project. We have created this collection as a record of the many things that we are grateful for on Amy’s Farm. 26. Tree planting: Inside our produce stand you can see a painting of a tree-planting. Amy painted these walls 13 years ago and she featured her favorite activity on the farm, planting a tree. We have planted over 300 trees on these ten acres in the past 35 years. Planting a tree is a symbol of hope for the future, a sign of respect for nature and our environment, and an act of commitment to its care. Planting a tree is a risk and an act of faith. We love this quote by Robert B. Oetting ~ “We must strive to touch the land gently and care for it as true stewards that those who follow us may see our mark on the land was one of respect and love…”

25. Farm Signs: We have all enjoyed the many signs scattered throughout the farm - signs for information, education, and inspiration. Amy’s favorite were her signs with quotes from famous authors. Also, you could find our theme verse: “Rooted and grounded in love, Ephesians 3:17”. At the entrance to the farm is Amy’s welcome statement: “Enter and nurture your soul”. Amy’s Farm has been a place to unwind, unplug, and reconnect with nature. We all have recognized that this place has been soul nurturing.
Also at the entrance is Farmer Randy’s welcome statement: “Shalom” which means peace. Shalom can be used in greeting and in parting, a simple word of well-wishing peace. We have always strived for Amy’s Farm to be a place of peace. We hope that all of our visitors have felt this peace when they have entered this place.

24. Barn: Everything on our farm is outdoors, except for this space. The barn is where our visitors come to shop for our fresh produce. And now, there are only a few weeks left to shop our produce on this property. The barn has been a haven and a treasure. And, of course, we must mention the hundreds of class pictures that have been taken in front of this building. We are very grateful for this space.

23. Food Donations: On a regenerative farm, our goal is that nothing goes to waste. We have grown so much food that there is plenty to share with everyone. Besides selling in our Produce Stand and our restaurant, we are able to feed those who are food insecure, donating thousands of pounds of food to local food banks and pantries. We are very grateful for the opportunity to donate food to our local community.

22. Pumpkin Season: The fall season has always been a favorite on the farm. So many families have a tradition of visiting this time of year to pick out their pumpkins. This tradition will be greatly missed. We are thankful for the many years of pumpkin seasons on Amy’s Farm

21. Flower corridor: When you enter our main garden, you can walk down a path to the center fountain flanked on either side by lovely flowers that attract much needed pollinators. According to the seasons, you might walk down a tunnel of towering sunflowers, or encounter a bright orange sea of california poppies. This pathway has been a favorite walk for many a visitor and a favorite spot for Amy’s family. Her family has had the yearly tradition of having a Mother’s Day feast in this flower corridor and her family also would celebrate Easter Sunday at this beautiful spot on the farm.

20. Farm Icons - Windmill and Grain Tank: There are certain items on the land that have become symbols of our farm, always in the background of the photos. The windmill is one of those favorite icons. And like our windmill, the grain tank is another of those special items on our farm. We are grateful for these farm fixtures over the years.
