Due to issues with Faceook, we will be transitioning to MeWe in the near future. It is similar to Facebook, but has a better platform that is more business friendly to farmers. We are not able to sell livestock, which is a big part of our business. We raise sheep and goats for replacement, breeding and show stock, along with selling poultry, eggs, lamb and goat meat. It is becoming increasingly difficult to grow our business due to these restrictions. There are other issues too. Facebook is censoring free speech and more. We do not agree with their policies. We will post updates once we have the Bre-Zee Acres site up and running. If you wish to continue following us, I encourage everyone to look into MeWe.com. Please feel free to ask questions or share any concerns about the move.

In about a month to month and a half, we will be rotating out some older hens for younger ones. If anyone is interested in stew hens, please let us know. We have about 25-30 birds available. They would sell for $5 each plus $3.50 for processing. Stew hens are great for bone broths, soups or stews. Like our meat birds, they are free range and supplemented with non-GMO feed, with no corn, soy, antibiotics or hormones. Lately they have been feasting on garden leftovers. :D

We have several Boer buck kids, one doe kid, and one 2-year-old percentage doe in need of home. The sire of the kids is from ABGA’s Ambassador and National Boer Judge, Coni Ross, owner of CR Ranch, Blanco, Texas. She recently passed away and her herd was dispersed. This is an opportunity to continue her excellent lines. Coni’s goats were noted for their heartiness, quality, maternal instincts and parasite resistance. See below for description of each animal. Photos included. All animals will be registered. The adult doe is registered. PLEASE PRIVATE MESSAGE ONLY, as I am not online often.

Adult Percentage Doe:
Born 4-3-17 traditional Boer doe. She had ample milk to nurse all the kids. She is a great producer. Nelly would make a great starter doe—for someone new to raising Boers. She is UTD on vaccines and worming, 1x1 well developed teats, good bite, and will be ready for breeding this fall. Her sire has an excellent pedigree with numerous enoblements. Nelly produces nice sized kids. She can be bred to one of our bucks for an additional fee.

Our birds are growing fast and doing well! Once fully feathered, they will be moved to pasture for lots of fresh air, fresh greenery, bugs and other treats. We have to wait till they are feathered, otherwise they have no means to keep warm on cooler days. Currently we are weaning them off heat lamps.

After 3 days of rain and flooding, we can finally begin cleaning up. Unfortunately after 6.5+ inches of rain our chicken coop and other pens were under water. We moved all our animals to dry pens.

We will be ordering meat bird chicks mid-May. It takes approximately 10 weeks raise them for processing. Average weight is typically between 5-6 pounds per bird. Unfortunately due to people backing out of orders after the birds were raised, a $5 deposit is now required for each bird. We plan to raise 1-2 batches depending on demand. The birds are free range and supplemented with a non-GMO feed with no corn, soy, antibiotics or hormones. Just wholesome natural freshness. The price is currently $3.65/lb. Please let us know by May 17th if you would like to place an order.
