A few things got checked off the list this week. ❤️

Bull calves were weaned on Monday, and today it was the heifers’ turn.

There’s always plenty going on this time of year — sorting calves, checking numbers, moving cattle, and having a few extra helpers right in the middle of it all. 😉 We’re thankful for good calves, good help, and another step forward as we head into fall.

These heifers are the next generation around here, and it’s always fun to start watching them develop.

Why target Beef? Why isn’t there a spark of outrage on the cost of Cereal, potato chips, sodas & beverage, cost of vehicles, farm equipment, parts for those vehicles and equipment and many more! I strongly disagree with Trump on that announcement Friday, keep the cattle business about supply and demand AND pass MCOOL for the RANCHERS AND CATTLE FEEDERS of AMERICA! Let the American PEOPLE decide if they want to eat HIGH QUALITY USA BEEF or the imported garbage beef!

As our youngest daughter and I pulled into customers’ driveways today delivering bulls, I couldn’t help but feel humbled and honored by the people who have trusted us — this year and in years past — to provide breeding stock for their herds.

We do not take that responsibility lightly. We understand the lasting impact a bull can have on a cowherd and on the future of an operation. We know cattlemen and cattlewomen spend countless hours studying pedigrees, sorting through catalogs, and carefully selecting the genetics that best fit their program.

That’s why it means so much to us when someone chooses a Senn Red Angus bull to turn out behind their cows.

As our family’s passion for this industry and our cowherd continues to grow, so does our appreciation for every customer who supports our program. Please know that Jerry, our kids, and I are truly grateful.
