I just watched your piece on the price of eggs, and people turning to buying from local farms and homesteads.
There are farms, upon farms, upon homesteads, upon homesteads who have not gotten an egg since July 2022. Not just here at Lewis' Little Homestead, but other local hen-housers. You will also see it isn't just local but in other areas.
In not talking about them normal winter slow down. This has been ongoing since July/August. (You can search FB and Tic-tok and see post after post of people trying to figure out why their flock has completely stopped producing eggs.

Today we (Nona Chelle's Creations) took fresh (made from scratch with fresh fruit) pina colada cupcakes with amazing fresh pineapple and sweetened coconut as well as fresh strawberry cupcakes with cream cheese frosting to the staff, administration and teachers at Thomas W Kelly School to thank them for being AMAZING, DEDICATED, SELFLESS, ENCOURAGING, the BIGGEST CHEERING SQUAD and so much more.
These will be available tomorrow at the Cape Riverfront Market from 8-12 come early before I sell out.

I've been asked and asked and asked about doing more VEGAN... I have done vegetarian, diabetic friendly, complete NSA, gluten free (I'm bringing that back BTW), and a teeny tiny bit of vegan. I really didn't have many resources (I use books, I like to feel the pages 🤷‍♀️.) So, as a starting place, I bought this today. (There are vegan cheesecake recipes.) I am also taking requests and BIG NEWS I will be testing many recipes and will be donating, random gifting, contests, and try great fun ideas to make sure the product never goes to waste. This is this evening's bake. Making whole wheat tomorrow. (I have deliveries to Sikeston on tommorow the 21st) will be going to Cape on the 22nd for deliveries. Also have cherry and apple pies, baked and frozen (for you to have it fresh out of your oven) and pretzels.
