South Texas Apiaries LLC was officially formed as a Limited Liability Company in January of 2016. What started as a personal hobby has developed into a thriving business. We are conveniently located in Orange Grove, TX. We exist to provide two services to our customers. We perform live bee removals from structures and sell local honey from our bee hives. Recent research suggests that there is a gl
obal decline in pollinators, including honey bees. Insect pollination of crops accounts for up to half of food consumed in the US. Without pollinators, including honey bees, we will not eat. Honey bees (including Africanized or "Killer" bees) can invade our space, taking up residence in our homes and on our property. When this happens, you can call an exterminator to kill them, leaving behind a mess of dead (up to 50,000) bees, honey, and wax, and reducing local pollinators. Or, you can call us to humanly and ethically remove and relocate them. Africanized hives are relocated and reconditioned to become nice calm bees. All removed bees are allowed to continue to do what they do, make honey and pollinate crops and native flora. Recent research and anecdotal evidence suggests that consuming local honeys can have a positive impact on allergies.
