First cookoff. First call. First check. 🔥
Big Low Barbecue’s first competition is officially in the books! We finished 20th overall at the Texas Rice Festival, learned a few lessons, and had a damn good time doing it.
🐖 6th place ribs
🥩 24th place brisket
🐔 29th place chicken
The chicken hurt our feelings a little 😂 Brisket left us some work to do, but those ribs got us our first walk and a check! Hearing our name called at our very first competition was something special. Not bad for our first time out!
Big thanks to the Texas Rice Festival for the hospitality, and a shout-out to my team for putting in the work. Proud to have y’all in my corner.
And a special thank-you to my wife Brittany Thibodeaux for always being there when I need her most, believing in me, and somehow surviving six straight weeks of barbecue 😅❤️
