In Polish kitchens, żurek and barszcz biały are more than soup. They’re tradition in a bowl 🍲🇵🇱

In our house, the Easter basket blessing (Święconka) is more than a custom. 🤍

On Holy Saturday, families take baskets filled with bread, eggs, meat, and salt to be blessed. Each food symbolizes Christ’s sacrifice, new life, and God’s provision. It’s a simple but powerful reminder that Easter begins not just with celebration, but with gratitude.

Pisanki (Polish Easter eggs) are small, but they carry centuries of meaning. 🤍

Traditional colors and patterns tell their own story:
❤️ red for love and sacrifice
🌿 green for rebirth
🌾 wheat and florals for abundance and blessing

While many pisanki are created using intricate wax-resist techniques on real eggs, wooden pisanki like these are meant to be kept and displayed year after year.
