Oh my heart is happy! Rustie Roo is going to be a daddy. Rustie is the baby of Oscar (who passed away a few years ago) and Penny(who I sold a couple years ago). Rustie was born right here on this farm and he is such a sweet boy. I can’t wait to see his piglets in October.

Spent some time with the pigs yesterday and it was just what my heart needed. Autumn, Mabel, Rusty and Paxton are featured in today’s post. The other two were out back eating grass. I am always thankful for when we have so much grass that we have to mow it.

We are up to 8-10 baby chicks and a few more to hatch. Plus one more hen wanting to sit, I will help her collect some eggs this weekend. We were down to just 4 hens and 1 rooster so I love when chickens do their job at hatching! Makes my life so much easier because they raise the chicks to be smart hens.
