Our Family Farm
For years, we’ve dreamed of moving to the country and starting a family farm. Last year, on May 14th, the Lord allowed our dream to shift to reality. Our first year has been a whirlwind of change. We’ve built fences for cows, a chicken coop for our... chickens, remodeled the house, cleaned up the property. and establish a basic (yet evolving) vision for our farm. Still lots of work ahead, of course; but it’s nice to see progress.
While it hasn’t all been rosy (our brand new zero turn and two push mowers were stolen soon after moving in), we have very much enjoyed our time here so far. First, God has blessed us with a great little community - pesky thieves aside. The people at our church have been wonderful to our family and our neighbors on each side are terrific. We couldn’t ask for better. Our kids have also made some great friends and have loved being here. It’s huge for Careise and I to know that they are enjoying their new surroundings, as well.
We hope that you’ll enjoy following our progress as we post the latest happenings on our farm and maybe even some helpful videos on topics we are currently dealing with. One of our goals is to provide organic, healthy products like honey, produce, herbs, and eggs, as well as grass fed beef. If any of that sounds good to you, we hope to hear from you as we get things going - or maybe I should say, growing. We would also love for there to be a ministry component on our farm so pray that we will know the Lord’s will for us in that area.
