Dear Mode Family,
It is with heavy hearts, that we need to share with you the tragic news that Tracy Samantha Losch Davis passed away on August 20th, after she lost her courageous battle with Leukemia.
She fought for 9 horrifyingly rough months and never once complained. She just did whatever treatments her Dr prescribed; with such dignity, hope, and strength, because she wanted her life back.
The last round of chemo was risky and instead of curing her, it took her life.
Tracy was the heart and soul of Mode Brewing, although she'd never admit it. She was beautiful, intelligent, witty, hard working, energetic, loyal, hysterically funny, charming, generous, determined, fiercely independent, a dreamer and a doer, a creative genius, the strongest person we know, with such a loving and kind heart.
She had a smile that would light up any room. She knew all of your names, your dogs' names, and your kids' names too. To win your business? No, because she truly cared about you. She loved you all so much.
Tracy and husband Randy Davis co-own Mode Brewing and Kitchen in Orangevale. It was Tracy's dream that they made happen together.
Another dream Tracy had was she wanted guests to feel like 'friends' when they came to Mode, and that's what she accomplished; life long friends.
We would like to thank all of you friends and family members who have picked up shifts and worked anywhere and everywhere needed, to help us while Tracy was in and out of the hospital. You did that out of love for Tracy not duty, and we will be forever grateful.
None of us are sure how we are going to survive this great loss, and move on without her at Mode and in life, but in order to keep her dream alive we must try; one day at a time.
Thank you also to the 100s and 100s of you who prayed that Tracy would win the cancer battle and get her miracle. She never lost hope and you never stopped praying. Please continue your prayers for the family. There are no words that adequately describes how heartbroken we all are. I have cried millions of tears for my remarkably talented first born and immensely loved child who still had more dreams to dream.....more things to do.
A service will be announced at a later date, and we are kindly requesting no flowers be dropped off at the restaurant. Just show your love and support by stopping by Mode and supporting this extraordinary family owned business, where everything is made from scratch and with love. That's what Tracy would want.
