Today I officially submitted the grant application I have been working on for weeks.
It has been early mornings, late nights, missing things that I wanted to be a part of, and combing through fine details of our company to submit an application that has a chance to be awarded.
If we received this grant, it would positively impact up to 20 local farmers and ranchers by creating more accessible cold storage for their use. This is one of the largest hurdles that farmers and ranchers experience in the Treasure Valley.
As an example, our cold storage backstock is 65 miles (one way) from our fulfillment location.
I don’t know if we will get the grant, but I know that I am proud of the time and effort and work that I put in to give not only our small ag business, but other local agriculture producers better options so that they can be more profitable and scale more efficiently! A HUGE thank you to the producers that wrote letters of support for this project and all those that helped me along in the process! I hope we come through with a win for us all!
