When the time came to register the ranch who better to name it than a 5 year old
Lil' Cowboy who brought us all back to live the dream his Mama always loved. Dead set on the name 'Lazy HS Ranch' the HS his initials, 'Lazy' he was far from. With smiles from all when the registration was complete. Laughs came from those
closest to us when they heard 'LAZY' in the name, it just didn’t add up. He wa

s adamant, after all I promised whatever he chose to name the Ranch
would be the Ranch name. I never had an answer until just a few years back where
he came up with such a name, simply he told me; HS, (Hunter Stennick) 'Lazy'
(Everyone else in the family but you and me, Mama!) I could only smile at his honesty. We already had rabbits and chickens,(4-H Adventure Projects.) The October after his 5th birthday he started riding lessons. At that time Lynne Hartman was just his trainer; quickly she became a friend
and now is a part of our family. Lynne and I talked and the time had come for
Hunter to have his own horse. He was set a Chestnut Arab with Four White Socks! Lynne had her work cut out for her, the four white socks we just couldn't find. The phone call came one evening and Lynne said
"Ann, would Hunter go for a Chestnut Arab with one white sock named Brock?"
Of course I said "NO!' I think I caught on after she repeated herself atleast three
times and then just about jumped out of my seat. That's just the beginning for the Lazy HS Ranch. The bond between Hunter and Brock unshakable, to the point when Brock became
lame and went to live at the retirement home, Hunter has rarely rode. He's had two other horses, Bremmer and Misty. I think if given the chance
he and Misty could have been quite a team. The Lazy Hs Ranch had a change of location and we welcomed what now represents
The Lazy HS Ranch, Tatum and the rest of Hunters Red Angus/Angus Herd. After Tatum had QuickShot a visitor decided to drop in. Nine Months and a week
later Titan arrived, she was the first I had seen a Red Angus Heifer Calf born
completely red with four black socks and a black nose, then she turned pure black. That's where the Angus, Titan and Fancy got their black coloring from.
