Bouldin Family Farm may be known for mandarins, but apparently we rescue kittens too. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿพ

These sweet babies were born to a feral mama and needed a little help. Weโ€™ve been able to get them safe, and now comes the hard part โ€” finding them loving homes.

They are absolutely adorable, and we would LOVE to see some of them adopted in pairs. Kittens are so much happier when they have a buddy to grow up with. โค๏ธ

So weโ€™re calling on our farm family to help us out. Even if you arenโ€™t looking for a kitten, please share this post. Somewhere out there are the perfect families for these little faces. ๐Ÿฑโค๏ธ

๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒผ Exciting things are happening at Bouldin Family Farm! ๐Ÿฆ‹

We are now in Year 2 of our Healthy Soils Grant project.

This year we: ๐ŸŠ๐ŸŠ Applied compost to improve our soil health.
๐Ÿ๐Ÿ Planted 2 windbreaks consisting of approximately 400 ft of Pollinator shrubs (53 plants total).
And.... we just picked up 101 plants for our 180'x15' hedgerow!
All of the windbreak and hedgerow plants are California Natives from Floral Native Nursery. These plantings will create habitat for the birds and a Pollinator haven for our bee and butterfly friends.
We are committed to healthy soil, Pollinator support and the best farming practices for our farm!

We took the day off today and did some trail work at Grizzly Flat. We completed our volunteer paperwork at Army Corps of Engineers/Black Butte office yesterday and hit the trails running with our w**d eaters. We love riding our bikes at Black Butte but in the Spring the trails are overtaken by tall grass and cockleburrs. It is sad that these trails are so under used. Hopefully, mountain bikers, hikers and horse riders come back since now we all can see the trail!
