🥭Florida mango season is here!🥭
I have Pine Island grown ‘Nam Doc Mai’, ‘Valencia Pride’, a few ‘Pickering’, and a variety that might be ‘Gary’ or possibly ‘Dot’.
Grab some Monday night ☺️ or DM to reserve/ place an order for shipping.

Some of you have had our peaches lately and I’ve heard a lot of the same feedback-
“They taste so fresh!”,
“I haven’t had a peach like that in years” (or ever),
and my personal favorite-
“The peaches in the grocery store are NOTHING like these”.
There’s a big reason for the difference in texture, flavor, and nutrient content.
Our peaches, like all the fruit we offer, are the closest thing to growing them yourself in your own yard. They’re handpicked hours or, at most, a few days before you consume them. They’re grown by people who truly love the fruit, our environment, and their own neighbors and community.
This year after the record setting freeze we had in February you might notice that I have far fewer tropical and exotic fruits than I’ve had in the past. And that’s because everything is sourced as locally as possible from small farmers who grow what they can without expensive or dangerous systems, marketing, or unethical labor practices. So, while Florida peaches might not be incredibly rare or exotic, the way that they arrive at your table IS. It’s very intentional. Very wholesome. And always exceptionally delicious.

Did you guess the new sorbet flavor?

🥭 It’s mango and spirulina!! 🥭
I used both ripe and crunchy green Florida grown Thai mangos for a refreshing balance of sweet and tart, plus some local spirulina for color and freshness. No sugar added.
I wanted to add in another flavor element but these two are doing a special dance so I left them alone 👀😂
Grab some mango + spirulina sorbet or mamey nice cream on Memorial Day . 🫡🇺🇸

‘Gulf Beauty’ plums and ‘Tropic Beauty’ peaches are picked and ready for tomorrow!
Both are tree ripened, very juicy, and super sweet 🤤
These are grown to organic standards in Seminole County with no synthetic fertilizer or sprays. The grower, Nick, has very interesting pest control methods to prevent insects from devouring the fruit. He really enjoys growing these fruits and you can taste it in every bite.

Which one to you want to try?

Just 😍
The green mangoes are ‘Pim Saen Mun’, a delicious Thai variety that is picked crunchy green and excellent for eating out of hand or made into Thai green mango salad. Super sour and so yummy.
Look at the size of these sapodilla! 🤩
Get to early if you want peaches. These were just picked today and they’re still mostly ‘Florida Prince’ but there are some ‘Tropic Beauty’ mixed in.
I have a very limited quantity of white star apple too (not pictured).
Grab some vegan mamey ice cream or some totally not vegan peach frozen custard to help deal with the heat. See ya tonight 😊

🚨New product alert🚨
Central Florida grown, harvested, and freeze dried spirulina!
Spirulina is an edible blue-green algae (specifically a cyanobacteria) grown in very alkali, mineral rich waters. It is rich in protein, amino acids, iron, enzymes, antioxidants (particularly phycocyanin), and so much more goodness.
You can eat the freeze dried spirulina as is by the spoonful, sprinkle it on food, hydrate it and drink it with water/ coconut water, or add it to other beverages. It is also sometimes used as a food colorant.
This is not oxidized, air dried, nor imported. It is freshly produced by hand in Volusia County, Florida with a completely inland freshwater system operated by our friend David Krane.

We’re obviously in love with 🥑🥭🍌🍋‍🟩🍍LOCAL FRUIT 🍋🫐🍓🍑🍊 but the real obsession is to support local farmers and producers of ALL healthy food.
Come grab some local spirulina this Monday ☺️

Peaches are in!!
These are from a farmer in Seminole County who uses organic growing standards and DOES NOT SPRAY! This variety is ‘Florida Prince’. There will be several other varieties that follow this one throughout the season so make sure to try them all because there are distinct flavor and texture differences 🤤

Have you ever gone fruit hunting in another country?
Our friend is overseas and was able to find these gorgeous passionfruit! 🤩
While we are still assessing the trees/ crops, recovering, and planning here in Florida from our significant weather event(🥶😱😭), I have the last of our pre-freeze harvest of passionfruit, kumquat, and black sapote. Most of the other citrus trees fared well and so I’m still picking sweet, juicy grapefruit and several varieties of oranges. 🍊
Stop by this Monday for some goodies and to chat about what fruits and other new hyperlocal things we are looking forward to in the coming weeks.
