COVID Talk Time
- Austin, Texas is turning the convention center into a field hospital for patients.
- Arizona just enacted crisis standards of care, meaning doctors have to decide who lives and who dies based on algorithms that estimate who might live the longest AFTER recovering
- Arkansas has seen a 180% increase in infections, and more than one mother there is pleading with the public to wear masks because their NEWBORNS are battling COVID.
- Here in Los Angeles, my favorite had to shut down their takeout line after customers refused to wear masks and became combative over being asked to leave for refusing to comply with mask rules, making employees feel threatened and unsafe NOTE: no one gets fussy about “no shirt, no shoes, no service” so PLEASE realize that this whole a-mask-is-an-infringement narrative is deadly political BS.

Y’all. Y’ALL. The USA is only 4% of the WORLD’S population but we are 25% of the WORLD’S DEATHS from COVID-19. This is an abject failure of leadership. This is a crisis. Please please PLEASE take this seriously. We deserve better. And if we aren’t going to get it from the federal government and a bunch of cronies who want to politicize a PANDEMIC?? Well then it’s on us. Trust the science. Trust the experts. You know, those folks who got PHD’s and Masters Degrees to help save us from disasters and pandemics and so on? Those are the people we need to listen to right now.

Mask up. Get it together. Let’s not overwhelm our healthcare systems and ICUs. Let’s not rush the lives of doctors and nurses and hospital workers and the folks who pack up our food and make sure we have enough to eat. Please. Take this seriously.
