I know, I know Florida is known for key lime pie; it's kind of our thing. But there's so much more to Florida agriculture than just key lime! It's strawberry season right now and strawberry cookies just felt right for our family cookout today. Soft, pillowy strawberry cookies topped with a swirl of strawberry buttercream and a crunchy freeze dried strawberry. 🍓♥️

Sunday mornings are for biscuits. ❤️ This time change has me like 😖😵‍💫🫩 so today was a butter swim biscuit day. Butter swim biscuits may be what The Commodores were singing about in "Easy" when they sang, "...easy like Sunday morning." No rolling, no cutting, just melt tons of butter in the pan as the oven preheats, mix up a quick batter, and let the batter swim in the melted butter as it bakes. All that buttery goodness gets absorbed like magic.
