We saw the northern lights! 🌌

We’ve seen hints of the northern lights here before, but nothing quite like last night. This was taken right outside our front door!

It’s not every day you look out across the yard and see the sky painted in reds and greens. A pretty incredible sight for Oklahoma!

Cupid Bob Beck is moving up in the world 🌾

Cupid is getting bigger and braver, and this week he graduated to spending time out in the big field. He’s loving the tall grass, wide open space, and of course, keeping a close eye on us from behind the weeds.

Watching him grow up has been such a joy! ❤️

Our first harvest of the season! 🌱

It may be a small handful, but these little peas are a big deal here at Beck Homestead!

This marks our very first harvest of the season! Even a few pods feel like a celebration after months of planning, planting, and dreaming.

There’s something special about those first bites straight from the garden. It’s a humble start, but one that fills us with excitement for everything still to come.

Rain or shine, there's work to be done! 💪

We had a good stretch of rainy days here at the homestead, but that didn’t stop us from getting out in the garden. After Ben brought home a load of mulch, it was time to put it to work!

As you can see, we definitely needed it!

A good, thick layer of mulch makes it easier to walk the rows, helps block weeds, and feeds the soil as it breaks down. Plus, there’s just something satisfying about seeing those tidy paths take shape.
