The smallest heroes often carry the biggest responsibility. 🐝
Every bee helps feed the world, protect nature, and keep life blooming. Without them, countless flowers, fruits, and crops would disappear.
Protect the bees. Protect our future. 🌍💛

Good morning Bee Friends 🐝! I just wanted to let everyone know that we do not have any more shows scheduled until November but you can still buy your honey here at the home hive. We do not have set hours so please text or message before heading this way. Have a great day! 🐝

Thank you Sean Steele for stopping by! We had a great time at the Campbellsburg Country Festival!

Brian and Nancy have some of the best caramel corn made with honey that I’ve ever eaten. You’ve gotta check them out if you’re at the Campbellsburg Festival today.

Many people mistake this behavior as swarming when in reality it is only honeybees conducting orientation flights. This is an indication that new brood or nurse bees have hatched and this is the graduating class of foragers spreading their wings.

We always try to plant a variety of pollinator plants but I think the sun flower is my favorite. With the cooler temperatures today I took some time to enjoy watching the all the honeybees, carpenter bees, bumblebees and butterflies working the flowers. It really doesn’t take much to entertain this old feller! 🐝 🐝 🐝

Can’t work 🐝 🐝 so I will just watch it rain. We sure needed it! Bee safe!

Interesting I didn’t know how much wax a single bee produces in a day. We have had several folks ask if we sell our bees wax. Unfortunately we very seldom have extra wax to sell. I give most all of the wax back to the bees to save them a little work. In the event that we do have extra wax for sale I will post it on Facebook and our website Papawbshoney.com. Thank you all for supporting these amazing little workers!! 🐝

The next time you see honey, remember: it’s not just food. It’s the life's work of nature’s smallest, most devoted engineers. 🐝

What seems so simple to us is an entire lifetime of quiet sacrifice for them:

➡️12 hours of exhausting effort to produce just 8 delicate wax flakes.

➡️500,000 of those tiny pieces to weave a single pound of comb.

🟡 Behind every golden drop is a profound, beautiful story of patience, teamwork, and unconditional dedication.
