DID YOU KNOW!?! 🤯

Obsessed with checking in and seeing how their milk production is going. Porcupines actually “bag up” a few days prior to giving birth——they can have up to 4 babies, called porcupettes! You can always tell babies are just a few days away when ni***es start peaking through the hair behind their armpits!

Baby watch is so much fun 🥰🥹 How many do you think she will have? My bet is 3, or 2 giant ones! She’s HUGE and that belly is ROUND and hanging low.

Babies will all be about this size when leaving. We don’t send much smaller. We want to be sure everyone is started well and eating good on their own before going to new homes!! Just an FYI. Everyone wants to know sizing—-this is it.

Some of you won’t understand how cool this is, but those of you that do….how freaking NEAT! Did you ever think you could milk a porcupine to see if they have milk yet?

I take the bonds I have with my porcupines so serious and treasure them dearly. This gal is almost 11 years old and she’s still my precious baby. I can only hope I have 10 more years with her.
