Hidden Haven Farm

The dream/concept of having a small farm began in December, 2016 while Brian was having dinner with other Marines from his unit in Greensboro, NC. The conversation centered mainly on pastured poultry, fresh eggs, grass-fed meat and sustainable agriculture, all of which could be done non-conventionally and through utilizing sustainable methods which would provide healthier, fresher food, not only for our family, but also for those in the surrounding community.

The conversation ended, but the ideas, dreams and concepts of the discussion did not and, within a few short months, we had fruit trees and berries planted and over 100 baby chicks to care for. These chicks and eventually, their eggs, were our gateway into Hidden Haven Farm. Our first batch of pastured chickens and turkeys proved successful, and led to bigger, grander dreams. In 2018 Brian jumped into bee keeping and after hand-setting fenceposts for a high-tensile fence, we purchased 6 Dexter cattle.

The saga continues as we continue to work improving our Hidden Haven, perfecting our practices and striving to ensure we offer the best poultry, eggs, meat and honey to be found in Middle TN.

Keep checking back with us. While we are busy with life, off-farm work and children’s activities, we are still working. In 2019 we hope to be able to purchase some land adjacent to us in order to grow our pasture operations as well as begin growing Christmas Trees while our girls are hoping to grow some beautiful flowers they can cut and sell in fresh arrangements/bouquets this year.
