Windy AcresFarm Our farm produces Certified Organic Grains and Livestock Feed and Grass Fed Beef, Pastured Chicken and Pork. Our pork is pasture-raised.

We utilize sustainable and regenerative farming practices, which honor the land and grow healthy food for our community. We sell 100% grassfed beef, pastured chickens, pork, and eggs. We use only Freedom Ranger breed chickens raised exclusively on pasture and organic, local feed from Windy Acres Farm. All of our meat is hormone and antibiotic free. We also offer delicious pasture-raised, free-rang

e eggs. Our layer chickens live on the pastures and receive 100% organic, local feed from Windy Acres Farm. We also offer a 6 month CSA which includes a monthly share of chicken, pork and beef. The farm boys taking a break in a bed of crimson clover. We are soaking up every last sweet moment of Tennessee farm life... just like nibbling every last kernel of sweet corn on a hot July day!
We have a tentative plan for our last 3 delivery dates to Nashville.
-TOMORROW May 31st
-Tuesday June 14th
-Thursday June 30th

This is dependent on how long our stock lasts! We have some cuts of beef back in stock today (including some steaks, ground beef and roasts). We have pork in stock, including bacon and sausage!

We will have 50lb bags of Organic chicken and livestock feed available until end of June. We also have some food grade corn left. Stock up on organic grains while it lasts! Text Sam at 615-684-5873 to place order.

Spring is for babies, milky time with mama, green pastures and endless wildflowers! These moments catching these new calves nursing are just the sweetest!
Sam is doing the regular home delivery to Nashville tomorrow (Tuesday)! Hop on website and place order. We also still have a few shares of bulk beef and pork available. 1/4, 1/2 and whole cows and pigs available. It’s a good time to stock up the chest freezer!

Can’t get enough of these babies!!This little cutie needed a little help out today. His mom’s milk was not coming down well. He enjoyed a bottle from Farmer Sam. Then we were able pair him with another mama cow whose calf was sadly stillborn. She was missing her baby... and he was needing some milk. So far the bonding and adoption process is going well. We all enjoyed snuggling this little buddy and giving him a bottle... but not something we want to keep doing 4 x a day!

Our Story

Windy Acres Farm in Orlinda, TN was founded by Alfred and Carney Farris in 1985. In January 2020, Lyle and Sam Harvey took over as caretakers of the farm and are honored to be carrying on the Farris’ legacy of stewardship and caring for the soil, animals and earth with the highest organic, sustainable and regenerative farming principles.

We grow Certified Organic grains and livestock feed for sale on the farm. Joelton Hardware and Feed and Hillsboro Hardware sell our Organic Layer Feed.

We raise 100% grassfed beef, pastured chicken, pork, and eggs. We use only Freedom Ranger breed chickens raised exclusively on pasture and organic, local feed from Windy Acres Farm.
