Nelson Ranch TLC Beef 720 Cow/calf operation located near Chesaw, Wa Nelson Ranch is a working cattle ranch located near Chesaw, Wa. Owned and managed by Brian and Cynthia Nelson.

It is comprised of 1026 owned acres with 6000 rented and 614 pair USFS permit. The 1026 acres are under an Agricultural Conservation Easement with the Okanogan Land Trust.

Well…. Our foals are changing colors again! Hattie’s filly looks like she will be Buckskin , Jewel’s filly will be Red Roan, and One Eye Mare’s c**t will be Bay. Will continue to monitor until we register them in November! Way to Go Ladies❤️🐴

Well.. Our fillies are turning colors!! Hattie’s filly is going to be a gruella and Jewels filly is going to be a red roan! You never know how many times these babies change color when they shed out. Both are very sweet.

We went to Joel Kretz’s Promise Land Ranch to get PLR Smooth Croup yesterday. He will be here a few weeks to breed our 3 mares. Brian and I are so grateful for them to let us do this. Can’t wait for next year to see what outstanding mountain horses they produce! We also had a wonderful visit touring their ranch and went to the top of the world to mingled with fine horse stock!

Happy Friday! We had the honor to celebrate Dean Brazle’s 100th Birthday today. He turned 100 years old on July 4th 2026. So many people celebrated with him on that day so we decided to wait until today to have cake and ice cream with him. We took him to his old home and set up a few tables to honor this amazing birthday. He really appreciated it. We all shared lots of stories and memories with him and he did too. Not many people still in this world lived 100 years and still has a wonderful memory to share all his stories. He has certainly seen a lot of change. Happy 100th Birthday Dean.. we love you! Wow!! Already May 12th!! Had several branding events with lots of fine local friends and family. We have one more big one this Saturday for our calves. Today we gather up our bulls and distribute them in various pastures with cow pairs. Another big busy day!
