Things are going on at Bamford’s Ranch and Cattle even in the fog and rain! New little calf arrived. Momma is a Charolais and Hereford cross, and Sire is a black Angus. A lot of hybrid vigor produced a handsome black baldy. Seldom see a sunrise; not because I am not awake but because located on the west side of Table Mt. Toadstools are always fun (to see)!

It is FOGGY! But at Bamford Ranch and Cattle some fun things anyway. Bald Eagle visited! And a rat snake peaked out under a dead stump. Burn pile entertained the cows greatly.

Was wondering where all the chicken grain was going!!!! Chickens getting help from calves and lambs! Keeping the chicken house door closed these days.

Cattle are so interesting! One decides they need a drink and starts to water; They all line up and go too!!! And, follow the same path!! What could be more fun then watching cattle and listening to them crunch hay??!!

Ranch Improvments at Bamford Ranch and Cattle: New gates going in and a cement pour at 6 am this morning in the dark! I might have had more fun, but can’t recall when. 🤠

This is Samson, the newest bull at Bamford Ranch and Cattle. He didn’t let the gate slow him down visiting the neighboring lady cows. Bulls seem to go where they please!

New genetics added to Bamford Ranch and Cattle. 3 Brangus momma cows with heifer calves (future mommas) on their side. Really excited about the quality of these girls. Always working on herd improvement.

Porkers have arrived at Bamford Ranch and Cattle for Spring Sale. I am so excited to see them come and equally excited to see them go. Only raise winter pigs. In the summer; Hard to keep cool - They smell - Flies come. Winter pigs are a delight!

This is “Dog” and that is his name. He is super important to Bamford Cattle and Ranch. He is an animal guardian dog; Great Pyrenees and Anatolian cross. He sleeps during the day and guards animals at night. Coyote depredations of new born calves is zero. Can have barn cats and chickens because of his good work. If you have been to the ranch, you know he is a love towards people. He doesn’t bark at people. Actually scares people when they discover a large dog by there side 😂.

Remembering the surprise twin heifers born in June: They have been at the barns at Bamford Ranch and Cattle. They have grown well and rejoined the herd this week.

In February Grandpa Web’s old storage building came to Bamford Ranch and Cattle to be transformed into a chicken house. Chicks came in April. First EGG just layed.
