Tomorrow we will have apple pie cinnamon rolls, peach bourbon rolls, s’more cookies, duck and chicken eggs and jarred goodies. Cash and Venmo.

We have several different kinds of cookies, cobblers, duck and chicken eggs in the farm stand. We will be adding Mama P’s green tomato salsa verde and a green tomato and apple chutney. I just love fall canning. Our gardens are coming to an end thanks to that cold weather last night.

Today the littles are learning to make tortillas from their great aunts. Yesterday they had real deal rice and refried beans. I guess we can check several educational boxes!

This week has been a busy one with trying to finish up our canning. I was working on prepping cabbage for sauerkraut and the husband asked how he could help me. “You could come and squeeze my cabbage.” Omg the look on his face was priceless and we both started laughing.

You salt the shredded cabbage and squeeze the heck out of it to create a brine so it begins to ferment. He did a great job because it is gonna brew out of the valve in a few days. Good job honey.

Tomorrow we will be at Kings Mountain Orchard from 9am to 2pm with duck and chicken eggs, some of our fruit butters, chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodle cookies, peanut butter cookies, peach cobbler, blueberry cobbler, plum cobbler, apple cobbler, and black raspberry cobbler. Cash or Venmo. Whatever doesn’t sell will be in the farm stand for the weekend!

We are braving it today and are at Kings Mountain Orchard !!! We have cinnamon rolls, apple crumble, cinnamon raisin bread, pumpkin spice donuts, lemon blueberry ricotta scones and a smattering of our jams, pickles, and salsa. We have chicken and duck eggs. It is a nice sunny day so come on out and get some goodies, grab your pumpkin, and pick some apples! Cash or Venmo.

Given the anticipated weather, I am going to load the farm stand with baked goods to cope with the rain, and as several farm markets are bailing. Stay tuned for more information on what will be available. If there is anything you would like to see or are craving, let me know.
