Description:
- Will be the quality point person for all incoming and out-going bulk product shipments
- Will sample and perform required tests on all loads of raw milk, as well as other bulk products as required. Required tests include, but are not limited to; DMC, antibiotic, TA, cryroscope, brix, temperature, odor, flavor, etc.
- Will receive orange juice, cream, sugars, and other bulk ingredient products per procedures
- Will be required to perform lab work over the weekends
- Will report immediately any discrepancies or noncompliance issues as relates to regulatory requirements, or SmithFoods standards
- Will maintain the cleanliness and organization of receiving testing area and equipment
- Will monitor truck seals, wash tags and other regulatory requirements
- Will oversee haulers in washing their tankers as needed
- Will CIP raw lines, raw tanks and clean all miscellaneous equipment
- Will be responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the receiving room, raw alcove and other receiving areas (i.e. sugar, orange juice, etc)
- Will load out cream, milk and other products as needed. This process will include, but is not limited to completing required shipping paperwork, records, sampling the product for required tests, monitoring load out criteria (temperature, seals, viscosity, etc), and properly distributing product on tankers, etc.
- Will monitor and report on shrink on incoming and out-going shipments
- Will take daily inventories of bulk products
- Will follow all Company safety rules and exercise due care in discharging duties
- Will be required to wear safety harness
- Will be required to complete work orders
- Must be willing to cross-train and perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be willing and able to complete all duties
- Must be able and willing to learn and maintain proficiency in all requirements of this position
- Must have good communication and teamwork skills
- Must be self motivated, able to work independently at required pace and stay busy
- Must be able to lift 61lbs on a regular basis
- Will be expected to learn and actively participate in activities designed to enhance SmithFoods lean process
Days/ Hours:- 3 week rotating schedule as follows:
Week 1 Mon., – Fri., Start Time: 3pm – until done
Week 2 Mon, Tues., Wed., Thurs., Start Time: 3pm – until done, Sat., Start Time: 5am until done
Week 3 Sun., Start Time: 5am till done, Mon., – Thurs., Start Time: 3pm – until done
- All holidays must be staffed by receiving personnel
- Receiving staff will be responsible to cover own vacations and days off
- Hours per schedule. Hours require flexibility and are subject to change based upon incoming shipments
