It’s been awhile! Walking the garden today (it’s a mess 🤣) but I was able to snag some garlic scapes and they smell so good.

I’m slowly getting things planted and hoping to have enough time to keep it maintained in between life and doing bookish things with .bookco

Egg production is starting to pick up again, and a goal I have is to figure out a little farm stand where you can pick up eggs, veggies, and even flowers if they grow well this year.

And even hoping to get my little free library up and running too.

I’ll post more as I get things done! 💚

I'm glad I didn't hatch any chicks this spring... 🙄🤣

This mama hatched 10 babies! She's been in the sheep hay shed, and I have been so busy I haven't been able to go around and check for broody hens.

What a fun surprise to come home to after an amazing weekend selling books and bookish goodies with .bookco 💚 at the Tacoma Book Fair.

Poppy and Wilder planted a whole row of peas and then while I was busy planting dahlia tubers, took it upon themselves to grab a bucket and pull a bunch of weeds.

These ladies are laying them too fast for us to keep up with - so we're passing on some savings to you. 💕

Duck and goose eggs are very similar, the difference is the size! Our ducks and geese get fed a non-gmo whole grain feed - but our geese actually graze in the pasture and have the BIGGEST orange yolks.

A goose egg is about 2.5-3 chicken eggs
A Duck egg is about 1.5 chicken eggs

I love to use them both for eating and baking, and I made the BEST Italian buttercream I've ever made with goose egg whites. So fluffy and rich!
