Lotta Watta!!! Logging over 8" of rain in the last week or so has saturated the ground, resulting in flooding and lots of standing water here at Chipping Twig. We are fortunate so far in there has been no property damage and the Farm house is on safe ground. Horsehaven Creek, which runs through the property, is at maximum capacity but so far seems to be moving the water through! Not so for others and our prayers and well wishes go out to them as they cope with unprecedented flooding, mandatory evacuations, and property damage.
A quick note that the Farm Stand remains open all winter, offering eggs, honey, a great selection of dried herbs, late seasonal produce, nuts and fruit snack packs. Mcgee Microgreens has been stocking the Stand with some high quality sprouts, a tasty addition this time of year!
