During Covid, my brother and I couldn’t get part time jobs but we wanted to earn money to save toward our college education. Our family has a small farm in Orwell, VT where we have a few cattle and plenty of room. We decided to start a business growing garlic on the farm and fertilizing the garlic with our own cow manure. This means that our German hardneck garlic is locally, organically and sustainably grown. Our garlic is fully planted, harvested and processed by our hands. (It’s a lot of work!)
