Fallen Oaks has a rare opportunity for a boarder, but we aren’t just looking for anyone. We would like to find a self motivated individual willing to clean stalls 3 days a week in exchange for part of board. What we are looking for.
1)Someone that is reliable and will come when agreed upon. Stalls must be cleaned before 4pm. Flexible on days but at least one weekend day is required.
2)Someone that has their license (tractor is required) and lift more then 50 lbs (think hay bales/full water buckets)
3)Someone that’s not drama. Yes I will ask for you to leave.
4)A horse that can fit into our current routine. Mare or gelding. Any age. Needs to be on the easier side to handle. Not a show home
What we are:
Fallen Oaks Farm and stables is a small family run facility. We take pride in taking care of our horses. Each horse has personal feed plan chosen from Tribute feed, grass and or alfalfa hay, and soaked alfalfa/beet pulp when needed. There’s an indoor, outdoor, and hayfield/small trail. Jumps on site that can be set up, but we welcome many disciplines. Horses come in nightly to matted stalls with fans and Dutch door. Heated buckets in winter. They go out in small group turn out. Our horses are family and we treat all of the horses on the property as such. Blankets/supplements/ fly gear will be given or put on when provided by owner. Great relationship with both our vet and fairer. Contact Katie at (574) 299-3888 for more information and to see if you’re a right fit.
