Go back and look at the February post, dead of winter... And there was more color to the winter grass than this dried drought grass, this is just filler, sticks.. The Vineyard herd bulls that winter here, they left today to get ready for Ross's heifers coming in.... sadly... We are only stocking the summer pastures half capacity .. and still it may not last but a few months.. will have to provide protein for them right from the get go.... Normally the grass is a beautiful lush Green right now about mid calf high making it hard to see the rattlesnakes ... It's not that way this year... The big Nebraska Morrill Wildfire was just north about 15-20 miles..
