Bielefelders are new to our area. As adults they are 10 to 12 pound birds. They lay 200 to 230 eggs per year and are VERY friendly! I call them my gentle giants. I keep these birds most of the year with my Silkies and other breeds. They never fight or have any problems together. So if you are looking for large brown egg layers, meat, or just feathery friends these are your birds. I currently have Bielefelder chicks available now. I am located near Osmond Nebraska.
