Welcomed the first 2 reindeer calves of the year in Wisconsin on the Fritz farms over the weekend. Big ole bull calves born March 28 and 29! 🦌 Good luck to all deer and livestock farmers for a great calving season. We await many calves arrival over the coming months, and would love your name suggestions for our herds!

Welcomed the first calf of the year in Wisconsin on the Fritz farms over the weekend. Bull calf born 16.4 lbs on early Sunday morning, calf and cow are doing great! Today at 4 days old, the bull calf has been very curious with the guineas and running laps around his mom as she grazes. He was a challenge to catch for his morning weigh in and his daily dose of Redmond First Month! 🙂 We love to see that kind of healthy s***k & energy!

Beautiful heifer calf born in the snow and rain of April 1st. This is why we make certain our calving pastures are just as clean as our disinfected barns and stalls, most of our reindeer cows actually prefer to calve outdoors. About 70% of our reindeer cows calved last year in the elements, compared to inside their available canopies and barns. This cow "Antelope" is one of our best milk producers at 5 years old!

"Kodiak" weighed in around 24 lbs today. This is that bull calf born almost 2 weeks ago. He's doing very well and is playful in all the fresh snow.

In the coming weeks, I will be sharing updates from last couple years of calving and more glimpses into the reindeer farms.
Realized the last post was almost 2 years ago, whoops! ; )

The animals are and always will be the priority, but we understand updating this social media provides insight into this industry for supporters and fellow farmers. We'll try to share more content as requested. ❤️🦌

Welcomed first calf of the season today in Wisconsin from the Fritz Reindeer farms. Hope y'all have terrific calving season ahead. This surprise is a s***ky 15 lb bull calf, doing very well. He's the earliest calf we have ever had born, March 13. This cow, Kat, is a great mother and one of our sweetest dispostioned deer at Noël Productions.
