This position maintains inventory, prepares orders for shipment, ships products, receives products, verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments, and meets quality and customer requirements with every order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Job duties will include the following, however, other duties may apply:
*Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
*Conducts visual inspection of semi-trailers transporting product to ensure a minimum standard of cleanliness. Loads product on semi-trailers with forklift.
*Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
*Makes arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
*Operates the stretch wrap ba**er.
*Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
*Makes necessary shipping and receiving data entries into operating system.
*Works with others to obtain, complete and process all proper paperwork regarding shipments/deliveries.
*Cross trains in other departments and serves as back-up as needed.

Physical Demands
• Able to lift up to 55 pounds from time to time.
• While performing the job duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouching, climbing, turn, twist and reach with hands and arms.
• Specific vision abilities required to do this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
Experience and/or Education
• High school diploma or GED required
• At least one year of shipping and receiving and/or warehouse experience preferred.
• Proficient in Windows, Excel and Word.
• Must be able to perform basic math (add, subtract, divide, and multiply)
