Pasta dishes are a great way to use leftovers or small amounts of ingredients in your fridge or pantry. Just keep in mind your flavor profiles. Think: what did I have last time I ate Mexican, ground beef, corn, peppers,... Or Indian? Eggs, curry, shredded chicken? I usually have miscellaneous Mediterranean ingredients at home. Diced tomatoes, black olives, artichoke, garlic, breaded chicken, asparagus, blue cheese crumbles and fresh parsley.
I tossed my pasta in h**p oil. A new ingredient for me. (I did a skin test a few days ago since I have weird allergies). H**p oil has a very low smoking temp, so it's not a good cooking oil. It has a slight nutty grassy flavor that gets stronger when it is heated, so best for dressings or to keep your pasta from sticking.
