A resident of Osyka, MS, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026 at her home. She was born December 20, 1948 in Clinton, LA and was 77 years of age. She is survived by her husband, George D. Cutrer sons, Kevin D. Cutrer and wife, Catherine and Eric S. Cutrer

With all the attention on the dairy industry right now, I feel like it’s a good time to talk about supporting your local farms.

Whether it’s dairy, beef, chicken, eggs, fruits, or vegetables, there are so many small farms out there working hard to provide quality food for their communities. Farming shouldn’t be monopolized—there’s room for everyone.

One of the best things about buying local is knowing where your food comes from and the people who grow or raise it. You’re not only getting fresh, quality products, you’re also supporting local families and helping keep small farms going.
