Let it begin! Our Easter Egger eggs from L & C Family Farm, LLC are hatching! As of right now, we have two babies successfully hatched, and about four more eggs have pipped 😊 Will post a final hatch count soon 🐣

We will be posting more updates on the progress of our farm soon! We are almost fully moved in from our rental 🎉

This is Christmas, our (almost) 16 week old house chicken. We hatched her in an incubator when her mom decided she didn’t want to be a mom anymore and kicked her last egg out. We have raised Christmas from hatch to today, when she met grass for the first time and wasn’t too sure about it 😂 I was happy that she stayed close to me rather than bolt, as I feared she might and I really didn’t want to chase a chicken 🐓💨

Sunday mornings are for God and Gardening ☦️👩‍🌾 My daughter Izzy was very excited to plant some flowers in her personal planter 🌼 Tomorrow I will be working on planting wildflowers, black eyed susans, and various cone flowers along our back fence in prep for the apiary next year 🐝 Anyone else planting this season? 🧤🪴
